What is Carbon Footprint?

WBCSD/WRI GHG Protocol is an industry standard that offers guidance and criteria for calculating carbon footprints for Organizations and ISO 14064 is an international standard that specifies requirements and guidance for quantifying and reporting GHG emissions and removals at an organizational level and project level covering everything from the design to the verification and validation of a GHG inventory.

Quantifying GHG emissions resulting from owned sources as well as those associated with upstream and downstream supply chain is an essential first step on the journey towards carbon neutrality or net zero.
